Become a member of the AAS Executive Committee!

Each year the AAS calls for nominations to fill positions on the Society’s Executive Committee. This is a fabulous opportunity to get more centrally involved in your discipline—shaping the Society’s activities and providing representation on matters of significance to anthropology.

The AAS Executive is made up of a diverse, energetic and collegial bunch of early career and senior anthropologists from across the country. We meet virtually once every two to three months and in person at least once a year (circumstances allowing). Every year we’re involved in core activities such as helping to arrange the annual conference and AGM, organising the award of various AAS prizes and grants, and disseminating information to our members. We’re regularly involved with other activities too, such as submissions to government over matters where anthropological perspectives can make a real difference.
